This Garden Party Editorial is an ode to the lush beauty of summer. Shot by McKenna Rachelle Photography at the gorgeous Grey Gables Estate, just outside of Portland, this editorial features whimsical blooms, vintage dishes and juicy peaches. When creating the florals for this shoot, I wanted something magical and romantic, with a touch of playfulness. I used fragrant cream and lavender roses, blueberry greens, sweet pea, and locally foraged clematis. Instead of a traditional cake, I asked the girls at Cake Nouveau to create a French croquembouche; a tower of creampuffs. To match the vintage furniture provided by For the Love of Pete, I used antique plates with a white and green wreath motif, which also matched the invitations created by Caline Creatives. To echo the climbing vines found on the front porch, I chose a dress from Charlotte's Weddings and More that featured climbing lace vines. All of these elements came together beautifully to showcase the very best of summer beauty.
