Del Mar Villa Tropical Wedding Editorial

The sun was bright in the sky when we shot this beautiful tropical inspired editorial on the grounds of Del Mar Villa. This wedding features giant fan palms, brass details, and exotic fruit. What more could you want? A talented team of vendors came together to create a beautiful, tropical inspired event space. When I was designing how this event would feel I knew I wanted to focus on the rich colors and textures of nature to create a simple yet visually impactful tablescape.

Although the end result feels rich, this is a perfect tablescape for couples who are doing a destination wedding, don't have a lot of setup time, want to do a DIY project, or have a small budget. Breaking it down, there are dried palms, which don't die and can be reused, a carnation garland, which is easy to make and cost effective, and brass candlesticks, which can be rented for around two dollars. Having a unique and beautiful wedding does not have to cost your life savings.

This shoot features the photography of the incredibly talented Kallie Dawn, beauty by Shantilly Artistry, beautiful pearl jewelry from Kasa Kasama, specialty tropical cocktails from The Hive Catering Co. a beautiful modern gown from Charlotte's Weddings, invitations from Crave Design, and videography from Kane Limbaugh. Thank you to you all for your hard work!
